I help our clients by writing Financial Plans and by doing the legwork for Investment Reviews. I also do Investment Research & Analysis and the preliminary Investment Manager Research & Analysis. I implement Portfolio Selection and Asset Re-Balancing, after Steve and the client have approved it, and I figure Cost Basis calculations. As you can tell, I stay busy!

Hi! I’m the employee who has been with Steve the longest—since January, 1999.

I do the firm’s bookkeeping, and I am in charge of scanning, working to reduce our paper in a paper-intensive business.

I am Steve’s right hand when it comes to preparing tax returns—I do much of the quality control. I’m also the one who teaches our staff the “Getting Ready for Tax Season” workshop, and I test our tax preparation processes and see that we have worked out the bugs before we go live every February. In addition, I research New Mexico tax issues and prepare tax-related reports for our clients.

I know our clients well, especially those who have been with us over three years, and I provide a familiar face and voice for them to relate to.

I have been married to the same wonderful man, my very own native Hawaiian, since 1969. We have two children: Keloa Amber, and Kanoa, who is married to Nicole and has two children.

When I’m not working, I relax and enjoy my two grandchildren. Lately, I travel often to Phoenix to help care for my mom. Gardening is another enjoyed pastime.

Hi! I’m Rebecca. I have a lot of client contact, since I answer the phone, make reminder calls to clients, set up appointments, and send our clients birthday cards and newsletters. I am the one who does the tax e-filing; I organize our educational seminars; and I keep track of data, including scanning of investment-related documents into our document management system. I also send cards and letters to prospective clients and make appointments for complimentary consultations.

I am learning more all the time and making myself indispensable. Job security!

I attended Western NM University, where I played basketball. I graduated with an Associates Degree in Accounting at TVI. I’ve also taken classes in Business Administration and Marketing.

Personal:
I have three children, one son, Charles, and two daughters, Heather and Jessica. I am a Native American and am a member of the Laguna Pueblo. I am very traditional and enjoy and appreciate our customs. I attend our dances and other events. I think being a mom is very important, and I spend a lot of time with my children, playing softball with my daughters, going to the gym as a family, and cooking together.
